Featured Business – This is an opportunity to feature your business goods/services in the COHA newsletter, website & on our social media platforms. This is typically a write up of you businesses history, features your logo & other pictures and highlights your goods/services that also links directly to your website or preferred platform. Legislative Briefings– As a member of COHA you help pay for our work at the state legislature as well as with the state agencies that regulate the hemp industry. As a member you will receive members only legislative updates about what is happening with pending bills in Colorado related to our industry during the legislative session January-May.
Online Members Forum– *Coming Soon* COHA will offer a member forum that allows you to post for sale/want advertisements for free, have discussions related to the hemp industry & participate in Ask Me Anything Style (AMA) forums with featured guests.
Ag Day at the Capitol– COHA is a member of the Colorado Agriculture Council whose primary role is to work to educate legislators on the role agriculture plays in Colorado’s economy and the impact that pending legislation would have on the ag industry. Ag Council also hosts Ag Day at the Capitol which is a lunch & day of education at the State Capitol where we organize meetings with legislators & have a booth that promotes our members products & services. For lunch we also partner with a chef to feature hemp foods in their meal served during Ag Day. As a member you are welcome to attend & we are happy to have your business products featured at our booth.
Interactive Directory Listing– As a member you will be added to our interactive directory to assist other businesses in contacting you.
Events- Members are welcomed free of charge to our networking events, legislative/policy meetings and Annual Membership Party. As a member you also receive discounts for COHA’s & some partner organizations educational seminars that have registration fees.
Product & Services featured- COHA attends many events & has booth space. As a member we are happy to feature your products/services at our booths and hand out samples or educational material about it.
Lawmaker Report Cards- This is a tool that we use to rate each lawmaker on their voting record for the hemp industry to help members better understand if candidates are voting in line with the industries interests.
Free Classified Advertisements– *NEW* This new benefit is now live in our monthly newsletter! As a COHA member you may post your goods, equipment, services, land, et cetera on our online classified boards at no charge. Email admin@thecoha.org for more information.
Direct Assistance– If you are having difficulties with any state or federal agency COHA’s Board may be able to help you resolve these issues. For example, recently some hemp businesses were having problems getting PPP Covid-19 relief loans. Once COHA was made aware of these issues we went to work with our partner the Small Business Development Administration and was able to get them to reference specific guidance on hemp and designate an employee to answer any lending institutions questions related to hemp, we located several banks willing to take new hemp clients to get our members access to the funding and developed a resource guide to help anyone applying for funding on our website.
